Auburn climbed to No. 39 in the latest USA TODAY Sports 1-138 college football re-rank following its Week 1 victory over Baylor. The Tigers jumped 24 positions in the latest poll, while Baylor moved to No. 49 despite the loss. Elsewhere in the rankings, LSU entered the top 10 at No. 8 after defeating Clemson, and Virginia improved to No. 25. Notable upward movement was also seen from Nevada, which rose 52 spots to No. 75 following a win against Western Kentucky. Auburn now turns its focus to an upcoming home game against Southern Miss at Jordan-Hare Stadium. That contest is scheduled for Saturday at 6:45 p.m. CT, with the Golden Eagles currently ranked at No. 125.
