Auburn track's Kayinsola Ajayi and Ja'Kobe Tharp win national titles

Auburn juniors Kayinsola Ajayi and Ja'Kobe Tharp earned individual national championships at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 12 in Eugene, Oregon. Tharp secured his fourth title in the 110m hurdles, breaking the NCAA and world record with a time of 12.75 seconds. Ajayi claimed victory in the 100m with a wind-aided time of 9.72 seconds, both marking significant accomplishments for the athletes in their collegiate careers. Despite these achievements, the Auburn men's track and field team finished sixth overall following a dropped baton in the 4x100m relay that ended their chances for a team title. Camryn Massey is scheduled to compete in the discus throw on June 13, concluding Auburn's championships participation.
