Auburn's Byrum Brown and Jeremiah Cobb named to Maxwell Award watchlist

Auburn football seniors Byrum Brown and Jeremiah Cobb have been included on the 2026 Maxwell Award preseason watchlist. This award recognizes the most outstanding player in college football, typically awarded to quarterbacks and running backs. Last season, Brown achieved 42 total touchdowns, contributing significantly to the team's performance. Cobb will enter the season as the starting running back, following a successful transition from backup. Auburn is set to begin its season against Baylor on September 5 in Atlanta.
