Augusta GreenJackets unveil alternate uniforms honoring community's spirit

The Augusta GreenJackets, a low-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, revealed new alternate uniforms for the Augusta Soul, a tribute to local music icons James Brown and Sharon Jones. The uniforms will be worn during games on June 19 and 20 at SRP Park in North Augusta against the Hill City Howlers. Team officials aimed to create a design that reflects the community's pride and resilience, collaborating with local artist Jason Craig. This initiative aligns with a broader trend in professional baseball of using alternate uniforms to engage fans. Game jerseys worn by players will be auctioned later this summer to support the James Brown Academy of Musik.
