Australia announces squad for England series with several new players

Australia has unveiled its white-ball squads for the series against England, set to take place from November 13 to 18. Young fast bowler Mahli Beardman and allrounders Jack Edwards and Liam Scott are among those included, alongside uncapped players Lachlan Shaw and Sam Harper. Captain Mitchell Marsh will lead both the ODI and T20I teams. The decision to rest Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood comes after their participation in Australia's recent Test series loss in South Africa. Chairman of selectors George Bailey highlighted the importance of these matches for young players ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup. Following the England series, Australia’s schedule includes a home Test series with New Zealand and a tour to India.
