Auxerre pursue Southampton forward Cameron Archer and free agent Axel Tuanzebe

Auxerre is working to complete multiple transfers on deadline day, focusing on Southampton centre-forward Cameron Archer and free agent Axel Tuanzebe. Archer, 24, has reportedly left his current club to undergo a medical examination with the Yonne side to facilitate a reunion with manager Will Still. Negotiations for the transfer were initiated following the collapse of talks between Auxerre and Torino regarding Zakaria Aboukhlal, as both parties could not reach an agreement. In a separate move, the club is also exploring a deal for Axel Tuanzebe, a Manchester United Academy graduate and DR Congo international who is currently a free agent after his contract at Burnley expired. These moves represent an effort to bolster the squad's defensive and attacking options before the window closes. The club continues to pursue these targets as they look to finalize their roster.
