Avalanche host Flames in Halloween matchup tonight in Denver

The Colorado Avalanche face the Calgary Flames tonight at 8:00 P.M. MDT in Denver. This is the first Halloween game for the Avalanche in twenty-four years. The Avalanche, currently 7-5-1, aim to build on their recent 5-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils, while the Flames, at 6-7-0, are looking to extend their recent success after a 6-2 win against the Seattle Kraken. Both teams feature players with notable recent performances, including Nathan MacKinnon leading the Avalanche in points with 22. The Flames start a three-game road trip tonight, having recently struggled but rallied with impressive wins at home. Goaltender injuries may impact both rosters, with Calgary's Devin Cooley out and Arsenii Sergeev stepping up for the backup role.
