Axelina Johansson wins fourth national title in shot put for Nebraska

Axelina Johansson of Nebraska secured her fourth national title in shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship on June 13, 2026. She achieved a throw of 19.92 meters, setting a meet record and achieving the second-furthest mark in NCAA history. Johansson also swept both the indoor and outdoor national titles during her final season, adding to her accolades that include six total national titles and eight All-American honors. Teammate Mine de Klerk finished fifth with a throw of 17.86 meters.
