Baker Mayfield, other Buccaneers players face pressure in 2026 season

Summary

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are focusing on key players as they aim to improve in the 2026 NFL season. General Manager Jason Licht has retooled the roster with significant acquisitions through free agency and the draft, placing extra pressure on players like Baker Mayfield, Emeke Egbuka, and Alex Anzalone to deliver strong performances. Mayfield, now the team's leader after Tom Brady's retirement, must exhibit top-tier play along with a healthy Bucky Irving, who is returning from injury. With changes at wide receiver, the expectations are high for Egbuka to step up. The Buccaneers look to build on their roster strengths as they prepare for the upcoming season, seeking to contend for a playoff spot.
