Baker Mayfield ranks among top NFL QBs for specific traits

Summary

Baker Mayfield is part of a contract stalemate with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as he navigates conflicting evaluations of his skills. In Dan Orlovsky's rankings for seven quarterback traits, Mayfield appears in the top 10 for arm strength (6th), second-reaction ability (10th), and rushing ability (8th). Despite struggling in the overall rankings, his performance was affected by a difficult 2025 season, marred by injuries among key offensive players. Mayfield looks to improve his standing and possibly secure a better contract in 2026, depending on his performance with a healthier roster.
