Balikwisha scores first goal for Gent in win against Waregem

Michel-Ange Balikwisha scored his first goal for KAA Gent during a 2-0 victory over SV Zulte Waregem on October 10, 2026. Balikwisha's goal came in stoppage time, ending a 14-month drought since his time at Celtic. This match also featured Ibrahima Cisse's opening goal and a red card for Zulte Waregem's Malick Mbaye. The win keeps Gent at the top of the table with 22 points from eight matches. As Balikwisha continues to impress, his future at Celtic remains uncertain, with his loan spell potentially leading to a permanent transfer.
