Ball State quarterback Keldric Luster prepares for Ohio State game

Ball State starter Keldric Luster is set to lead the Cardinals against No. 1 Ohio State this Saturday. Listed at 5-foot-10 and 250 pounds, Luster has drawn attention for his unconventional frame for a college quarterback. Coach Mike Uremovich named him the starter on August 23 following an offseason competition. Luster previously played at SMU and Texas State, accumulating limited collegiate experience before arriving at Ball State. During his high school career in Texas, he served as a dual-threat playmaker, totaling over 3,000 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns across two schools. Luster has cited Kyler Murray as an influence for navigating the position despite his height.
