Baltimore Ravens sign veteran tight end Nick Vannett to practice squad

The Baltimore Ravens added veteran tight end Nick Vannett to their practice squad to round out the group. Vannett, 33, joins the organization after being released by the Seattle Seahawks following the preseason. The 6-foot-6, 261-pound veteran has 121 career regular-season appearances and 54 starts since entering the league as a 2016 third-round draft choice. He has played for nine different franchises, including recent stints with the Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans. Baltimore currently carries Mark Andrews, Durham Smythe, Matthew Hibner, and Josh Cuevas on the active roster. The team intends to use Vannett as an experienced blocking option and special teams contributor who can serve as insurance should injuries arise at the position. Offensive tackle AJ Arcuri also joined the practice squad as the final addition to the roster.
