Barbara Bonansea joins San Diego Wave on loan from Juventus

Juventus Women winger Barbara Bonansea has joined the San Diego Wave on loan through June 2027. The 35-year-old extended her contract with the Italian club through 2028 as part of the agreement. Bonansea departs Juventus as the team's all-time leader in appearances with 248 and second-highest goal scorer with 96 goals. During her tenure, she helped the club secure 16 trophies, including six league titles. Her move to the NWSL follows recent transfers of other core Juventus players to North American clubs, leaving only Martina Rosucci and Cecilia Salvai as remaining members of the original debut roster.
