Barcelona agree to loan Marc Casado to Deportivo for the season

Barcelona have reached a verbal agreement to send midfielder Marc Casado to Deportivo on a season-long loan. The deal includes a purchase option set at 30 million euros. Casado, a graduate of the Barcelona academy, had been deemed surplus to requirements and departs as part of a deadline day flurry for the club. Barcelona also officially confirmed the arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal on a three-year contract. Other academy players, including Guille and Toni Fernandez, have also secured exits from the club. Casado is expected to finalize his move and sign his contract in the coming days as Deportivo prepares for their campaign in the Spanish top flight.
