Barcelona agrees to sign teenager Josué Caicedo from LDU Quito

Barcelona has reached a verbal agreement to sign 19-year-old defender Josué Caicedo from LDU Quito for €2.5 million. The deal includes a loan to Barcelona Atletic with an option to buy. Caicedo impressed scouts during the Under-20 Copa Libertadores and is recognized for his speed and attacking capability. He is expected to join a roster of young talent at Barcelona this summer, including striker Hamza Abdelkarim.
