Barcelona considers Rodri transfer after De Jong injury setback

Summary

Barcelona is in discussions to acquire Manchester City midfielder Rodri following an injury to Frenkie de Jong, who is expected to miss a significant amount of time due to a torn ligament. Rodri has shown a preference for joining Barcelona over Real Madrid, despite the latter's interest. Barcelona is evaluating the financial feasibility of the move, particularly after submitting an initial bid that Manchester City found inadequate. The club’s financial situation may improve after returning to Camp Nou and offloading high-earning players like Robert Lewandowski. An agreement with City is necessary before any transfer can be finalized.
