Barcelona defeats Valencia 5-0 to maintain perfect start in LaLiga

Barcelona secured a 5-0 win against Valencia at Mestalla Stadium on September 6, 2026, marking the club's fourth consecutive victory to open the LaLiga season. The victory featured goals from Lamine Yamal, who recorded a brace, alongside individual strikes from Raphinha, Fermin Lopez, and Pedri. The result keeps Barcelona as the only team in the league with a perfect record after four matches. Fermin Lopez reached a statistical milestone, becoming the first Spanish player since Cesc Fabregas in 2011/12 to score four goals in the first four league matches of a campaign. The team has totaled 17 goals through the first four weeks, surpassing their scoring pace from the 2025/26 season despite changes to the forward line. Rodri also marked his 100th appearance in LaLiga during the fixture.
