Barcelona evaluates late transfer move for Dutch defender Ruud Nijstad

Barcelona are considering a late move for FC Twente centre-back Ruud Nijstad as the club looks to add young talent before the transfer window closes. Sporting director Deco has monitored the Dutch defender for several weeks, including two trips to the Netherlands to evaluate the player. While the club views Nijstad as a long-term investment, FC Twente currently maintains an asking price of €10 million. The defender recently earned a spot in the Eredivisie team of the week following a strong performance against Cambuur. Barcelona officials are expected to assess whether they can complete the acquisition by tomorrow. The club is prioritizing young prospects as they finalize their roster for the current campaign.
