Barcelona explores €10m Azzedine Ounahi transfer amid De Jong injury

Summary

Barcelona is considering a transfer for Azzedine Ounahi from Girona following an injury to Frenkie de Jong. Medical tests revealed that de Jong has a torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee, leaving him potentially sidelined until November. This injury has prompted Barcelona to seek midfield cover, particularly as Marc Casadó's potential departure could further increase the need for reinforcements. Ounahi, available for around €10 million, could be an affordable option amidst the club's financial constraints. Barcelona aims to decide on pursuing a deal for Ounahi in the coming days.
