Barcelona hosts Feyenoord in the opening match of the Champions League

Barcelona begins the 2026/27 Champions League campaign at Camp Nou against Feyenoord. The Spanish side enters the fixture with an established home record against clubs from the Netherlands. In 10 previous encounters with Dutch opposition at this venue, Barcelona has secured seven victories and three draws, with a combined goal difference of 31-7. Feyenoord previously traveled to Catalonia for a 1974-75 Cup Winners’ Cup match, which resulted in a 3-0 victory for the home team. While historical trends favor the hosts under manager Hansi Flick, previous outcomes involve various Dutch clubs including Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, AZ Alkmaar, and DOS Utrecht. The upcoming match represents a clean slate for the visiting side as the tournament structure begins for both clubs.
