Barcelona keep Marc Bernal off market amid Aston Villa bid

Summary

Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal, 19, is not for sale despite Aston Villa's reported interest. The Premier League club is considering an offer of €35 million for Bernal, who has emerged as a key target following Villa's financial boost from a player sale. Barcelona view Bernal as a cornerstone of their future and have stated he is untouchable, reinforced by his long-term contract and high release clause. Manager Unai Emery sees Bernal as ideal to strengthen Villa's midfield ahead of next season. While Manchester City are monitoring the situation, Barcelona's firm stance appears to block any potential deal.
