FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has released Oscar Gistau, Ibrahim Diarra, and Alex Gonzalez from first-team duties as part of pre-season preparations. The players return to Barça Atletic after participating in training and featuring in a friendly against Birmingham City. They are now training under coach Juliano Belletti and could play in an upcoming match against Girona B. Despite these cuts, 14 academy players remain with the first team as they prepare for their La Liga opener against Elche on August 23.
