Barcelona plans to play 2027-28 season first half at Montjuic Stadium

FC Barcelona has requested La Liga's permission to stage all home games during the first half of the 2027-28 season at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuic. This request comes as construction on the Spotify Camp Nou continues, specifically for a new roof expected to be completed by mid-October 2027. The club aims to avoid any disruptions caused by potential construction delays. The Montjuic Stadium would also comply with UEFA regulations, which stipulate that teams must use one venue for all league-phase home matches in a European campaign. Barcelona previously played full seasons at Montjuic during the Camp Nou's redevelopment in 2023-25.
