Barcelona are nearing a new long-term contract agreement with 20-year-old midfielder Brian Farinas. Following a summer where he nearly departed for Girona, Farinas impressed during the pre-season, earning a place in the first-team squad and the No. 4 jersey. His agent, Borja Garcia, met with Deco at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Thursday to advance negotiations. The club intends to extend his current deal beyond 2030 while increasing his salary and release clause to reflect his senior status. Although the midfielder has yet to make his senior debut for the club, he has already received official first-team perks, including the standard squad vehicle. These contract talks underscore the club's reliance on his potential as a permanent member of the first-team rotation.
