Barcelona register Hamza Abdelkarim and Jesse Bisiwu for Champions League play

Barcelona has submitted its squad for the 2026-27 Champions League season, featuring the inclusion of Hamza Abdelkarim and Jesse Bisiwu on the A-list. Although both players remain active with the reserve team, Barça Atlètic, they do not currently satisfy the criteria for UEFA B-list registration. UEFA rules require players to have two uninterrupted years in the academy or three consecutive years at the club to qualify for the more flexible B-list roster. Consequently, Barcelona was required to use two spots on the 25-man A-list to ensure their eligibility for European fixtures. Midfielder Brian Farinas has been registered on the B-list, as he meets the necessary homegrown requirements. The club also confirmed that Swedish winger Roony Bardghji will miss the entire season due to a serious knee injury.
