Barcelona seeks new midfielder after De Jong's long-term injury

Barcelona is searching for a new central midfielder following Frenkie de Jong's long-term absence due to an MCL tear sustained during the World Cup. The injury comes amid a strained relationship between de Jong and manager Hansi Flick, which may indicate a potential restructuring of the team's midfield. In-house options appear limited, prompting Barcelona to explore the transfer market urgently, with players such as Javi Guerra among the targets. The club has until Saturday to finalize any deal for Guerra, highlighting a pressing need for additional midfield support as the LaLiga season approaches.
