Barcelona have finalized the acquisition of 16-year-old defender Mikael Baza from German club HSV Hamburg. The teenager signed a three-year deal that keeps him under contract with the Catalans until June 2029. Baza will join Barcelona Atletic, managed by Juliano Belletti, with the goal of eventually competing for a spot in the first team under Hansi Flick. The move followed interest from Juventus, with Baza reportedly pushing for the transfer to Spain. The signing coincides with the departure of center-back Alvaro Cortes, who is closing in on a move to Royal Antwerp before the current transfer window shuts.
