Barcelona to add 6,000 seats at Spotify Camp Nou this season

Barcelona will increase the seating capacity of Spotify Camp Nou by approximately 6,000 seats during the current season. Due to licensing issues, the more significant expansion involving the third tier has been postponed until next season. The current capacity of the stadium stands at 62,652, which will rise slightly above 68,000 with the new additions. The phased reopening has financial implications, as Barcelona anticipated generating more ticket revenue with a larger capacity. The planned renovations have faced various delays, and the club aims to ultimately expand capacity to around 105,000 spectators by the 2027-28 season.
