Barnesville Shamrocks secure Milk Jug Trophy with volleyball sweep over Jets

The Barnesville Shamrocks volleyball team claimed the Milk Jug Trophy on September 12, defeating the Union Local Jets in three straight sets, 25-15, 25-20, and 25-19. This victory marked a significant achievement for the senior class, as it was their first time earning the Milk Jug in their high school careers. Junior Avery Bliss led the Shamrocks with 10 kills and contributed a total of 15 points. With this win, Barnesville improved to a 5-4 record for the season. The Milk Jug rivalry continues to highlight the competitive spirit between the two schools rooted in local tradition.
