Barnsley has acquired Connor O'Riordan from Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan, with an option for a permanent transfer next summer. The 22-year-old defender, who has previously played for the Republic of Ireland U21s, spent part of last season on loan at Doncaster in League One. After returning to Blackburn, O'Riordan made six appearances for the Championship club. He could make his debut for Barnsley during their trip to Leyton Orient this Saturday.
