Barr-Reeve softball claims IHSAA 1A state title with shutout

Barr-Reeve softball won its first state championship by defeating South Central (Union Mills) 6-0 in the IHSAA Class 1A final on June 13. The Vikings established an early lead with a two-run double by Sydney Wilson in the second inning, followed by additional runs in the fourth and sixth innings. Key players included Wilson, who led in RBIs, and pitchers Charley Paurazas and Haley Huff, who combined for 12 strikeouts. Coach Josh Huff expressed pride in the team's commitment, emphasizing the culture developed over four years. Addison Jones earned the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award, marking a successful end to her high school career as the team looks ahead to future championships.
