Basketball camp raises funds for tornado relief in Appleton area

On August 6, Brian Butch organized a basketball camp at the Community First Champion Center in Grand Chute, attracting around 230 children. The camp was initiated to support tornado relief efforts following an EF-3 tornado that impacted the Appleton area. Participants included current and former players, along with coaches, all working together to instill community values in children. Butch estimated that the event could raise nearly $10,000 in donations for those affected. Prominent figures like Doug Gottlieb and local athletes contributed to the camp’s success, emphasizing the importance of community support during difficult times.
