Bayer Leverkusen allows Jonas Hofmann to pursue transfer to Al Shabab

Bayer Leverkusen is willing to facilitate the departure of Jonas Hofmann on a free transfer before his contract expires. The club could save €3 million in wages if the 34-year-old secures a move to the Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab. Hofmann has not been included in the Bayer Leverkusen squad for the Europa League, and his prospects for Bundesliga playing time are limited following the return of Moussa Diaby.
