Bayern Munich invites Emile Witbooi for trial in Germany

Bayern Munich has invited South African talent Emile Witbooi for a trial, according to Cape Town City chairman John Comitis. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who previously won the Player’s Player of the Season in South Africa's second tier, has also had trials with Chelsea and Sporting Lisbon. Witbooi’s 18th birthday on August 28, before the current transfer window closes, means he could potentially transfer to a European club soon. His development and fit within Bayern's plans are yet to be clarified.
