Bayern Munich monitors the status of Florian Wirtz at Liverpool

Bayern Munich is tracking the progress of midfielder Florian Wirtz following his transfer to Liverpool in 2025. Despite an initial investment of £116 million, the 23-year-old has struggled to find consistent form, tallying only five goals and three assists in 33 league appearances last season. His start to the current campaign has yielded one assist through five matches. Liverpool management remains patient, with new head coach Andoni Iraola working to integrate the midfielder into his tactical plans. While the club is not currently seeking a transfer, internal discussions regarding his future are expected to resume at the conclusion of the season if his performance does not improve. Bayern Munich maintains an interest in the player and is observing how his role evolves under Iraola’s leadership.
