Bayern Munich remains Germany's lone representative in Women's Champions League

FC Bayern Munich will be the only German club in the UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase following the exits of Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday. Eintracht Frankfurt suffered an extra-time defeat to PSG after both legs concluded in 1-1 draws, with the French side scoring four goals in the final 25 minutes to secure a 6-2 aggregate victory. Hayley Raso received a red card for Frankfurt during the second half. Elsewhere, Wolfsburg failed to reach the league phase after a penalty shootout loss to Inter. Although the two-time winners held a 2-0 first-leg lead, Inter forced extra time before prevailing in penalties. Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt will now enter the draw for the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup second qualifying round. Bayern Munich advanced to the league phase automatically as the reigning Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
