Bayonne Little League is one win away from advancing to the Little League World Series. The team, the reigning New Jersey state champions, will play in the Metro Region championship game on August 14 against the winner of the New York vs. Connecticut matchup. Bayonne has dominated the tournament so far, winning both of its games with a combined score of 20-4. The Bees took down Connecticut 8-2 and New York 12-2 to secure their spot in the title game. Should they win, they will make history as the first Hudson County team to reach the World Series, held from August 19-30 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
