BBC extends deal to broadcast Scotland's international soccer matches

The BBC has renewed its broadcasting agreement with UEFA, ensuring that men's international soccer matches for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland will remain available live and free-to-air until June 2028. The agreement includes around 60 matches over the next two years, featuring this autumn's Nations League fixtures and Euro 2028 qualifiers. The BBC has been the exclusive broadcaster for international football involving these nations since March 2025 and has seen record audiences during recent World Cup qualifiers. Rhuanedd Richards, interim director of BBC Nations, emphasized the importance of these matches in uniting communities and showcasing national teams.
