To mitigate these issues, the board plans to restructure the Future Tours Programme to prioritize player recovery and provide adequate acclimatization before major series in SENA countries. Saikia also dismissed speculation regarding the future of Rohit Sharma, confirming he remains in the plans for the 2027 World Cup following a recent century at Lord's. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar did not attend the session, which also included input from Centre of Excellence director VVS Laxman.
