BCCI confirms Indian cricket teams will stay in designated Asian Games hotels

The BCCI has reached an agreement to house Indian cricketers in official hotels during the upcoming Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. Vice-president Rajeev Shukla confirmed Tuesday that players will reside in venues designated by event organizers, rather than seeking alternative, higher-star rated accommodations. The men’s team will stay at the APA Hotel Nagoya Ekimae, while the women’s team will be based at the Meitetsu Grand Hotel. While these properties are below the typical five-star standard provided for Indian teams, officials indicated that the travel distance from other potential locations made these the only viable options. Indian Olympic Association president PT Usha noted that the logistical concerns are now resolved. Shukla also denied reports that a secondary squad is being sent to the Games, stating the board is providing its full, top-tier roster to defend India's previous titles.
