The Chicago Bears hosted a tryout on July 24 for Ben Te Kura, a 6-foot-9 rugby athlete aiming to transition to the NFL. Te Kura, previously with the Brisbane Broncos, sought to pursue an opportunity in American football after being released by the NRL club. While participating in the Bears' workouts, he was also evaluated by the Seattle Seahawks a day prior. The Bears, addressing uncertainty at the left tackle position, are looking for prospects before training camp officially begins on July 25. Additionally, four defensive backs joined Te Kura for the tryouts at Halas Hall.
