Bears waive Brandon Hill after signing center Wesley French

The Chicago Bears waived defensive back Brandon Hill on August 11, just three days after signing him. His release was part of a roster adjustment to accommodate center Wesley French. Hill was brought in to strengthen the safety position following Coby Bryant’s knee injury but faced limited opportunity in camp. The Bears are managing injuries to several key safeties, with potential returns imminent for Elijah Hicks and Cam Lewis. The team will begin their preseason on August 15 against the Cleveland Browns.
