"AEW/Ring of Honor stars The Beast Mortos and Komander are still unable to work in the U.S. due to ongoing visa issues, according to a new report by veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio on Tuesday (June 2), Meltzer said the visa problems have resulted in plans being shuffled around. Mortos currently holds the Ring of Honor (ROH) World Tag Team Championship with Sammy Guevara, but since he is unable to participate in matches in the U.S. at this time, the duo will instead compete in Mexico, per Meltzer’s report. “So they are probably going to be doing a title match in Mexico imminently. In fact, they are, this may be the set up for it,” Meltzer said. News of Mortos and Komander being sidelined due to visa issues first became known at May’s ROH Supercard of Honor event in Maryland. Announcer Ian Riccaboni said during the early part of the show that the luchadors were not able to participate that night while they worked on getting their visas sorted out. Currently, Mortos and Guevara are scheduled to team up with Black Tiger (formerly Magnus) to take on Barbaro Cavernaro, Villano III Jr., and El Hijo del Villano III this Friday at CMLL’s event in Arena México. Komander is also on the CMLL card in a match against Soberano Jr. Do you have any thoughts on The Beast Mortos and Commander’s visa issues, or just on the two luchadors in general?
