Beau Brungard leads Youngstown State to win over Duquesne

Youngstown State defeated Duquesne 70-13 on Saturday in Youngstown, Ohio, led by a dominant performance from quarterback Beau Brungard. Brungard accounted for eight total touchdowns, including seven in the first half alone, and set a single-game school record with six touchdown passes. The Youngstown State offense established a 49-10 lead by halftime and finished with 70 points in the contest. Brungard completed 20 of 23 passes for 290 yards and added 111 rushing yards on 14 carries, marking his 12th career game with at least 100 yards passing and rushing. Backup Malachi Lewis also contributed a passing touchdown, setting a school record for total touchdown passes in a single game. Duquesne was held to 244 total yards and 13 first downs in the loss. Youngstown State moves to 2-1 on the season and travels to South Dakota State next Saturday, while Duquesne drops to 0-2 and heads to Washington State.
