Beau Daniels commits to University of Houston basketball for 2027 class

University of Houston basketball coach Kelvin Sampson secured a commitment from power forward Beau Daniels on Monday. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound prospect from Iowa United Prep chose the Cougars over several other programs, including Auburn, Maryland, and Ohio State. Daniels is ranked as the No. 58 overall recruit in the 2027 class. His commitment follows that of point guard Darrell Davis, who joined the program one day earlier. Daniels and Davis both visited the Houston campus this past weekend alongside other recruits. They join combo guard Oneal Delancy as confirmed pledges for the Cougars' 2027 recruiting class. Daniels is a former high school teammate of current Houston freshman center Arafan Diané.
