Lynch noted that her objective during this period was to work with younger talent rather than simply pursuing accolades to complete her career. After holding the championship for over 40 days, she dropped the title to Lyra Valkyria. Following this stint, she moved back to the WWE main roster where she continues to perform. Lynch stated that the opportunity to compete in NXT was offered to her rather than being a specific career goal she had sought out on her own.
