Bedford Elite 12-U advanced to the finals of the Monroe County Fair Baseball Tournament after defeating Ida Gold 14-4 in the winners’ bracket. The championship game is set for Thursday, July 23, with Ida Blue, Monroe American, and Ida Gold competing to challenge Bedford. In the same tournament, Monroe American defeated Bedford Elite 11U 12-11 and Ida Blue topped South Rockwood 14-6. The La-Z-Boy Junior Open is also underway, where Julian Pirrone and Billy Sennett Jr. both carded 70 to lead their divisions.
