Bell football team integrates baseball players into starting rotation

The Bell High football team has incorporated five baseball players into its starting lineup as the team currently holds a 2-0 record. Head coach Noel Padilla developed the strategy by collaborating with baseball coach Frank Medina to increase the depth of the roster. The current contributors include running back Jordan Medrano, receivers Julian Campos and Joel Medrano, quarterback Manuel Pasillas, and defensive end Antonio Figueroa. Beyond this crossover, the squad also features athletes from the school’s track and field, volleyball, and soccer programs. This roster expansion is part of an effort to bolster competitiveness within the Eastern League, specifically aiming to challenge the long-standing dominance of Garfield. The program continues to track internal developments as the football season progresses through September.
