Ben Cleveland faces challenges with Chargers in 2026 training camp

Summary

Ben Cleveland, the offensive guard who played for the Baltimore Ravens for five seasons, joined the Los Angeles Chargers in 2025. After not appearing in any games last season, he was signed to a reserve/futures contract. With the Chargers shifting to a new offensive scheme under Mike McDaniel, Cleveland's chances of making the roster appear slim, as he may struggle to compete against better-suited candidates for the team's system. He is currently expected to contend with Trevor Penning for a final roster spot as training camp approaches.
